Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd first began training in combat sports at the age of fourteen years old. As well as BJJ classes, she also trained in wrestling, boxing and kickboxing. At age 18, Ladd made her first appearance as an amateur in WCFC. Ladd became more confident after this win and won 3 bouts in Ultimate Reno Combat. Her opponents all fell during the first round. Then, she went to WCFC for the second time and defeated Leslie Rodriguez in a unanimous decision. Aspen had already defeated Silvia Baeghian as well as Maddy Simmons, before taking on Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia was superior to Aspen in the fight, beating her with a unanimous decision. Cynthia's amateur records were affected. Ladd was victorious in her subsequent fight with Roma Pawelek to improve to a record of 8-1. Aspen made her professional debut in 2015, and was signed by Invicta FC to make her professional debut. Invicta fight Ana Carolina Vidal in Invicta '11 and she won by first-round TKO. Invicta fought her at Bantamweight and was victorious via submission armbar in the second round. Aspen made use of her wrestling prowess to take down McGill in third round TKO. She next fought Jessica Hoy at Invicta FC 18, which was catchweight(138.1lb) since Ladd was unable to reach the weight limit. Aspen dominated Hoy and finished her in the second round by KO. At Invicta FC21, she was the final match in the organization. The winner was Sijara Ebanks with a majority decision. The debut of Aspen Ladd's UFC debut took place at UFC Fight Night 118 when she faced Lina Lansberg. She dominated Lina by pounding and grounding her to the ground, gaining the TKO in second round. Ladd remained in the lead, and won an even bigger victory against Tonya Avinger at UFC 229 with her next bout. Ladd defeated Evinger to the punch in the first round and earned a Bonus Performance of the Night. The first big fight she fought in was in her next fight in UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against. Lee against Sijara Eubanks in an Invicta FC rematch. Both the fighters put on an exchange of blows that culminated with Ladd triumphing via a unanimous decision and both fighters getting an award known as the Fight of the Night bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie stopped Ladd's winning streak in just 16 seconds. In the third round of UFC in ESPN 7, she defeated Yana Kunitskaya. As a replacement she took on Norma Dumont in her most recent UFC fight. It was a loss by unanimous decision.
